The temporary economic disruptions caused by COVID-19 has caused financial challenges for many of our members.

From now until June 30, Whitefish Credit Union is offering a number of borrower assistance solutions including a short-term Financial Assistance Loan and Payment Deferral options on most loans.

Effective June 1, normal late fee assessments will resume on all owner-occupied residential real estate loans. Please give us a call and let us know if you are not able to make your payment. We want to help, and you may be eligible to participate in one of our loan assistance programs. Unless you make arrangements with us in advance, your missed loan payments are still due and interest will still be assessed on your loan balance, including on any past due payments.

Whitefish Credit Union rarely finds it necessary to foreclose on home loans. In most cases we are able to work with members on loan modification programs before proceeding with a foreclosure. We have temporarily paused any adverse actions on delinquent loans due to the impact of COVID-19 in our community. Financial Assistance Loans

If you have been financially impacted by the coronavirus and need our support, we are here to help. A Financial Assistance Loan can provide immediate help with funds deposited directly into your Whitefish Credit Union account.

*Annual percentage rate. Offer valid for new Financial Assistance Loans only. $3,500 maximum balance. Maximum term limit allowed is 14 months, with no payments required for for up to 60 days with loan repayment fully amortized for 12 months with a sample payment of $84.91 per $1,000 borrowed. The cash amount the member qualifies to receive may vary depending on their individual credit history and length of term. Rate does not apply to current Whitefish Credit Union loans. Limit one loan per member. All applicants must be a Whitefish Credit Union member since March 1, 2020 or for at least 30 days prior to the date of the loan application. First payment may be deferred up to 60 days and is dependent upon when the loan funds. Interest continues to accrue during deferred payment period. Promotion may be canceled at any time. Application must be received by 5/31/2020.
