Unauthorized Transaction

  • Unauthorized Transaction: A transaction posted to your account that you did not authorize.
  • If it is a merchant you’re familiar with, try contacting them first to see what information they can provide.
  • You have 60 days from when the transaction appeared on your printed statement to report a dispute.
  • Give us a call to complete the dispute form for you – we’ll send it to your email to esign through DocuSign.

Inaccurate Transaction

  • Inaccurate Transaction: A transaction you deliberately made that doesn’t appear correct. (ie. Last week’s dinner came through for $65 instead of $45.)
  • Contact the merchant first to see if they’re able to correct the charge immediately.
  • You have 60 days from when the transaction appeared on your printed statement to report a dispute.
  • If after reaching out to the merchant you still need to dispute the charge, give us a call to complete the dispute form for you – we’ll send it to your email to e-sign through DocuSign.
  • Try to find whatever documentation you have to support your dispute – receipts, email correspondence, etc.

  • Avoid sharing your card or its information with anyone
  • Cover the keypad when inputting your PIN
  • Set up alerts in online banking
  • Memorize your PIN

  • Online shopping: Look to see how the url is structured. It doesn’t always mean fraud, but watch for websites using http:// (instead of https://).  The S in https:// stands for secure and indicates that the website uses encryption to transfer data – stopping hackers for getting access.
