Who Can Enter & Be Nominated in this Contest
1. No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win the “Under the Big Sky Unsung Hero” contest (the “Contest”).
2. “Entrant” - the individual who nominates someone.
3. “Nominee” - must be twenty one (21) years of age or older located within Whitefish Credit Union’s field of membership in Flathead, Lake, Lincoln, Sanders, Missoula, Lewis and Clark, Broadwater, Gallatin, and Ravalli counties.
4. Nominee should be either (i) someone who the Entrant believes goes above and beyond in the community; or (ii) someone who made a lasting impact on the community and entrant.
5. Nominee must be (1) individual person, and may not be a group of people, or an organization, or a company.
6. Whitefish Credit Union volunteers, employees, or their family members are not eligible to win.
How to Enter/Nominate Someone
7. To submit a nomination for this Contest, go to www.whitefishcu.com/UnsungHero, click on the “NOMINATE” button and submit the following information:
a. Entrant’s first name, last name, phone number, and email.
b. The first and last name, phone number (if applicable), email (if applicable), place of employment, town of employment, and phone number of employment of your Nominee;
c. A short essay describing why the Nominee should be the “Under the Big Sky Unsung Hero” and why they are deserving of the prize.
i. Entrants may nominate only one (1) person per entry;
ii. Entrants are not eligible to win or receive a prize in this Contest unless nominated by another Entrant;
iii. Whitefish Credit Union shall not be obligated to verify the facts asserted in any essay, only facts related to eligibility requirements (i.e., age, residence, etc…);
How to Win
8. A panel of Whitefish Credit Union-selected judges (“Judges”) will select five (5) entries from among all entries received, based on any criteria Whitefish Credit Union deems desirable, as potential winning entries, subject to verification of Entrant and Nominee eligibility and compliance with the Contest rules (each verified Nominee, a “Winner”). Whitefish Credit Union will contact both the Entrant who submitted each such selected entry, and their respective Nominee, by means of the phone numbers and/or emails provided by the Entrant at time of Contest entry.
a. Notifications may be made by voicemail message, with no responsibility for any failure of the voicemail at the phone number provided on the entry form for such Entrant, Nominee and/or Contact(s). Contact from Whitefish Credit Union does not constitute winning. Prizes must be claimed within 48 hours of initial attempted contact by Whitefish Credit Union.
b. Whitefish Credit Union reserves the right, but is not obligated, to attempt to contact any Entrant, Nominee and/or Contact(s) on one or more occasions or on one or more phone numbers provided and will NOT be required to contact all Entrant, Nominee and/or Contact(s) the same number of times or the same number of modes.
c. In the event Whitefish Credit Union is unable to successfully contact a particular Nominee selected as a potential Winner, Whitefish Credit Union may, but shall not be obligated to, contact the Entrant and/or any Contact(s) and request additional contact information for the Nominee.
d. Whitefish Credit Union has the absolute and irrevocable right to notify the Nominee of the name of the Entrant(s) who nominated him/her.
9. Whitefish Credit Union will announce on their social media platforms and their website the names of verified Winners from among the nominee entries on or before June 30, 2023. KPAX news will broadcast the winners on their news channel two (2) times between 6:00am and 4:00pm as well as two (2) times between 6:00pm and 10:00pm.
10. THERE WILL BE A TOTAL OF UP TO FIVE (5) WINNERS IN THIS CONTEST. THE WINNERS WILL BE THE SELECTED NOMINEES, WHO WILL BE THE ONLY PERSONS ACKNOWLEDGED AS WINNERS IN THIS CONTEST.
Prize
11. Each of the five (5) verified Winners in this Contest will receive two (2) VIP tickets to the Under the Big Sky Festival on July 14-16, 2023 valued at $595.
12. Each Winner must complete a liability release with Whitefish Credit Union staff members, which shall, among other things, allow Whitefish Credit Union to use the nominee’s name and likeliness in any promotional material in order to receive the Prize. In the event that the Winner refuses to sign the required release form, then such person will be disqualified and will not win the Prize.
13. THERE ARE NO PRIZE SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED. NO CASH ALTERNATIVE WILL BE OFFERED. NO TRANSFER OR ASSIGNMENT OF A PRIZE IS ALLOWED.
14. Winners will arrange pick up or delivery of their prize with Whitefish Credit Union's Marketing Coordinator. Winners will be given their prize and information for the Under the Big Sky festival.
